2024 Voter Registration
During the 2024 Election cycle, IMAN engaged many Muslim Hoosiers to get them registered to vote and make sure they show up to the polls.
Voter Education in Evansville
Our Voter Education event at the Islamic Center of Evansville went great, we had some very insightful conversations with the community!
GOTV Postcard Writing
With the help of our amazing community, we had 7 postcard writing events and sent out over 2,200 postcards encouraging Muslim Hoosiers to get out and vote!
GOTV Phone Banking
With the help of our amazing volunteers, we made over 8,000 calls to Muslim Hoosiers encouraging them to get registered and get out the vote!
2024 Hamilton County Candidate Forum
Our 2024 Hamilton County Candidate Forum was a huge success! Candidates came out and got to engage directly with our Muslim Hoosier Community.
IMAN Annual Ramadan Iftar
Our Annual IMAN Ramadan Iftar a success! We got the chance to chat with our community about the upcoming legislative session and some of our ongoing efforts to prepare for it.
Tatreez Workshop
We partnered with Jewish Voices for Peace and Niyyah Coffeeshop to host a Tatreez workshop! We discussed the history of resistance in traditional Palestinian Tatreez and got the opportunity to do the embroidery ourselves!
Voter Registration Events
We made sure to keep our community engaged and informed in the democratic process. We are thankful to our partners at Al Huda Foundation and Masjid Al-Fajr, for allowing us to make sure our community was engaged, informed, and registered to vote! Housing Advocacy Summit: Eviction & Court Watching
In partnership with Nora Neighborhood Ambassadors, Patchwork Indy, Fran Quigley, Housing4Hoosiers, Prosperity Indiana, and Meridian Street United Methodist Church Housing Justice Task Force, IMAN hosted the first of three summits surrounding the housing issue in central Indiana at the MTI School of Knowledge.
